Default 241 heads to big????

Can the valves on a 241 casting be to big for a 346. Say the heads have been ported and polished and blended with larger valves. Can the valves be to large and lose power. Also is the a differance between the 6.0l 241s and LS1 241s??

I've never seen 6.0 241's but new things keep popping out lately.

It is possible for the valves to be too big for a given bore/cubic inch motor. More valve dosent always mean more flow/power.

You are talking about the 317's then vs. the 241's right?

The valves could some too close to the cylinder wall, which is known as shrowding, which will actually hurt performance. Or you could simply have hogged out too much from the runners and now its a bit soft on the low end torque.
