Default Is this a good price to dissemble/assemble a block???

Just wanted your guys opinions on how much it should cost to disemble/assemble our LS1 motors, i already have the heads off and all the accessaries, theyre just getting the block with the oil pan, and theyre going to dessemble it, put forged pistons/rods (i provide them) in it and throw it back together with the heads and put the cam in and give it back to me to put in the car, they want 800.00 for the labor to dessemble/assemble it and put it back together becuase they say its "very technical", is this a good price??

Only way to tell if its a good price is to get quotes from other shops in the area and see how they compare.

Seems about right actually. If it was just the bottom end I would say that you were getting ripped.

Hoprfully that is not the case. The most important thing that you need to find out is what shops are reputable for rebuilds.

Price dosnt seem too bad, however its BS that they claim it's more technical. Most of the stuff has been idiot-proofed in the ls1.
