Question G5X2 cam...will 26.6 lb injectors support this?

I have a 99 Z-28 and I am in the process of swapping the cam to a G5X2...will the stock 26.6 lb injectors suffice? or do I need to upgrade to 30 lb?

Well put it this way I'm running the G5x4 with stock injectors on my 99Z so you'll be fine. Look at my sig, I'm also over 400hp to the wheels. TSP said usually h/c cars are ok with stock injectors.

i have a TSP 233/239 on a 2000 SS with stock 26.6lb/hr injectors. I am at like 88% duty cycle at WOT. I know that cam is similar sized, and i have the smaller injectors...you should be good to go!

You can find lightly used 28.8's for ~$50. Not a bad idea if you ask me...

Last time I saw an acceptable duty cycle with my stock 26's was at 4500rpm's....this was with a T1.

I have a 99 Z28 and I was maxing out stock injectors w/ 375rwhp on a h/c car. I had TEA 5.3 stage 1.5 and a 224/228 on 114lsa cam.

It's all about the duty cycle that you end up pushing your injectors too.

Yes, your car will be fine with stock injectors and a cam. Most H/C cars will run fine with stock injectors, but alot choose to upgrade to get their duty cycle back down to 80% where it's desired.

If you can get some 28's at a good price i would go that route. You will be fine until you start to upgrade again.

Why not just upgrade to SVO 30lb or 40lb so your covered by not going over the 80% duty cylce on the stockers? It will also have you ready for future upgrades...Nitrous or Forced Induction later as well...
