Default Need good advice on cam

Hey guy it's been a while since i've been on here and don't have a whole lotta time to search through threads to find it so here goes.

I found some cams that i think i might like.

99-TR230/224-111

OR

(you'll have to copy and paste Sorry.)

http://www.cranecams.com/?show=browseParts&lvl=2&prt=5&Vehicle_Type=Auto&Cy linders=8&Engine_Make=CHEVROLET&Year=1999&Engine_S ize=5.7%20L&partNumber=1449561&partType=camshaft]http://www.cranecams.com/?show=browseParts&lvl=2&prt=5&Vehicle_Type=Auto&Cy linders=8&Engine_Make=CHEVROLET&Year=1999&Engine_S ize=5.7%20L&partNumber=1449561&partType=camshaft[/URL]

I was wondrering if either of these cams are a good choice. I am also putting on FAST 78MM intake manifold and TB because i don't think that i need the 90MM setup with just cam, headers, HF cats, and straight pipe. Also supercharger will be installed later.

if your going F/I the TR230/224 is not going to be a good cam for you. it has a longer intake duration then exhaust. for F/I you want it the other way around.

But as far as N/A goes its a great cam. i love mine! dyno numbers are in sig.

well i intend on running forced air but i want somethin that's gonna have a nice choppy idle without sacrificing alot lot of low end. i mean i only need power when i mash on it and it never sees under 3,500 rpm so i want a cam that it strong from there on up.

TS Magic Stick V.4 239/242, .649"/.609" 2300-6800 RPM Power Band LSA 111, 112.
The Texas Speed 228/228 .588/.588 1600-6300 RPM Power Band LSA 112, 114.
The Texas Speed 233/239, .595"/.603" 1900-6500 RPM Power Band LSA 112, 113, 114.

These Texas Speed cams seem like great cams to me but i think the the power bands seem exaggerated for the durations. They also seem to have high claimed output. Also i heard they are really hard on spings, people changing them every 12,000 miles

Are these cams as good as they say they are cuz if they are i want one.
