Default Losing Oil Pressure?

My 02 LS1 motor has just started to lose oil pressure after motor has run for about 20 minutes. My mechanic pulled the oil pan and replaced the barings, but he said the old ones didn't look bad at all. He also put a new oil pump on. I am still having the same problem. Any ideas what to try next?

What is the pressure at? What psi? I am having the same problem but i have the old LS1 oil pump with 75,000 miles on it and a cam. I am going to be installing a LS6 pump soon and hope that fixes the problem.

Default Drops to about 20psi

The PSI drops to about 20lbs. and you can hear that it is not circulating the oil, the lifters get noisy.

I had a similar problem ended up being the o-ring that had a small cut and wasn't sealing. I did switch from an LS6 to a Melling hi-volume, and change the pick-up while I was down there. Now I've seen no less than 40 psi at idle.

whats the ideal oil pressure? Cause mine gets as low as 25psi now. I do live in chicago, and i just took the car out yesterday, in 16 degree weather, after not driving it for about a month. But yea....is that too low to be at when at idle?
