With full bolt ons....you could probably see 365 maybe a little more (but I doubt it) to the ground

I think this car just has a lid, ported throttle body, and bullet muffler on a stock tune. What's a possible ET with that setup?

Is it an auto or 6spd and what gears does it have out back?

you'll get around 10~12 rwhp extra with an LS6 cam.

Do you already have the cam and springs or do you have to buy them and if so for how much? Right now I'd say the car if in good mechanical condinition would be good for low/mid 13's with a decent driver high 12's maybe with the cam. If you have to buy the cam I'd say spend your money on something else like LT's and a midpipe.

One of my buddies put down 370 rwhp w/ the Ls6 cam and bolt-ons. He ran a 12.3@114. (M6 w/ gears). They aren't a waste, especially if you want good driveability. They are much milder than most aftermarket cams, but still put down decent power. IMO.

But he said the car only has bullet mufflers, lid and ported TB. Unless they are real cheap he could spend his money better else where.

I agree, go for some LTs before the cam. The better the engine can get air in and out, the better numbers you will get when you do something internal. I.E. a cam.

Should be better than, especially past 6000 rpms where the stock LS1 falls off dramatically. The key to the LS6 cam is revving it to 6500-6600 rpms to take full advantage of the power band. I ran the 02 LS6 Cam/Intake, bolt-ons, MAC's, and a Yank Y3200 and put down 348 rwhp unlocked. It peaked at 6000 rpms and stayed nearly flat (342 rwhp) to 6500. Stock w/bolt ons the car was at about 280 rwhp at 6500, so there is decent gain as long as you rev it up.

BTW - Best ET in hot weather was 12.4 @ 109 mph.

Complete waste IMO, if your in there go with something bigger and just as streetable, it is very easy to find a cam that drives like it but makes way more power.

Thats a very small cam interms of aftermarket cams. If you are afraid of going big get something like the old man cam.

I love the LS6 cam, but If I was going to do a "cam only" swap, I would choose a larger cam. I used the cam in combination with the LS6 heads. It revs mint all the way to 6500. My 01 M6 SS runs 12.5's with this combo and with no other mods on stock tires.

I said 10-12 b/c it was an A4.. and I wouldn't rev a stock A4 repeatedly to 6500 unless planning for a rebuild. It could be more sure.. but I always try to error on the low side so hopes don't get too high. It IS on the low side of aftermarket cams.. and a 224 is probably about 25ish rwhp, so I didn't want to quote in that range.
