How much horsepower would an LS6 cam and springs add to a stock LS1?

Is it an auto or 6spd and what gears does it have out back?

Do you already have the cam and springs or do you have to buy them and if so for how much? Right now I'd say the car if in good mechanical condinition would be good for low/mid 13's with a decent driver high 12's maybe with the cam. If you have to buy the cam I'd say spend your money on something else like LT's and a midpipe.

One of my buddies put down 370 rwhp w/ the Ls6 cam and bolt-ons. He ran a 12.3@114. (M6 w/ gears). They aren't a waste, especially if you want good driveability. They are much milder than most aftermarket cams, but still put down decent power. IMO.

BTW - Best ET in hot weather was 12.4 @ 109 mph.

I love the LS6 cam, but If I was going to do a "cam only" swap, I would choose a larger cam. I used the cam in combination with the LS6 heads. It revs mint all the way to 6500. My 01 M6 SS runs 12.5's with this combo and with no other mods on stock tires.

I said 10-12 b/c it was an A4.. and I wouldn't rev a stock A4 repeatedly to 6500 unless planning for a rebuild. It could be more sure.. but I always try to error on the low side so hopes don't get too high. It IS on the low side of aftermarket cams.. and a 224 is probably about 25ish rwhp, so I didn't want to quote in that range.
