Default MS4 or G5x3

Which would you choose to spend your tax return money on along with a set of heads?

Is it for that car you have in your sig? Doesn't look like you have a converter yet. Get that with some DRs first before you go with heads/cam.

Just what he said.... A stall is a MUST with a cammed A4... throwing a G5X3/MS4 in your A4 w/o a stall... is not conducive to what you are trying to achieve...

I paid $725.00 for my PI ( Vigilante) 3600... shipped! 1 yr warranty... I also have 323's...

Long tubes, a Y pipe for your CME and a stall initially...then go with a cam to compliment the others....

I am sure others will agree...

Your choice of cam, stall and gear should all compliment each other to have an effective setup.

And I would say ur comparing the wrong cams IMO. the x3 is smaller then the ms3 but the LG G5X4 is alittler bigger then the ms4, well in dur. but not in lift. I just ordered the g5x4, everyone I herd from who has this cam loves it. But like the others said a stall is a must 1st but after that I wouldn't rule out the g5x4 cam. just my .02

I would post the spec's but wouldn't want LG to come after me lol If you search it they are on here. I have herd the x3 is much nicer down low compaired to the ms3, I guess between the lobes and the large amount of advance ground in to the x3. But then again there are alot of guys DD that the ms3 and love it. I almost went w/ it but I really liked the x4 so I thought I'd give it a shot. Getting it installed march 1st, can't wait!

I am running the X3... with my Vig 3600.... heads, bolt on's...

The car is like a jet boat!!! once you are in it... it stands up.. and never gets out of the power band... Simply incredible!!

Good luck.. I too think you are incorrect regarding the MS3,X3.... Not a slam & i mean no disrespect...
G5X3 is a little bigger...

That's the info that I heard from the shop that installed their custom cam. Specs also not disclosed but they said that it was inbetween the ms3 and g5x3 cams with the x3 slightly larger than the ms3.

Ok the X3 is a 234/242 .600/.612 on a 112+4 or 114+?.
The ms3 is 237/242, .603/.609 on a 112 or 113 or 114
A friend of mine had it measured, if you don't believe me ask Patric G he know the spec's as well. So like I said the ms3 is just alittle bit bigger.

And the the X4 is just a tid bit bigger then the ms4, well in dur. but not lift. The ms4 is a beast when if comes to lift. I prolly would of tryed that cam but that .649 lift scared the sh*t out of me lol.

You sure the X3 has .612 on the exhaust side? On their website it says .610

Sorry, but LOL at .002". Its common for the measured spec to be slightly off of and advertised spec.

Yes Hammer your right, but in this case Roarin_8 is right, I made a typo. I have the spec's written down here and I'm trying to type fast cuz I'm at work and I meant .610 on the lift. But the dur. is correct in my post. Before I knew the spec's I thought the x3 would be bigger b/c of the size of the x2(232/240) which is close to the ms3. So I was surprised when I found out LG just added 2 degrees of dur. to each side to make the X3. But they didn't follow that pattern w/ the X4 since it really isn't what they recommend for a street cam.

I herd from some different tuners one of the reasons they feel LG doesn't give out spec's on those 3 cams ( X3,X4,XX) besides people copying them to save money is b/c they are smaller then what people think. A lot of people, including me for awhile, just look at spec's and if it's not a "Trex" they don't want it. But since there cams sound/perform much bigger then what people think they are they don’t want to lose customers b/c "Oh look at that wimpy dur., only 234." I know a lot of people around here think the X4 is bigger then the T-rex. Wells its kind of close but the Trex does have it beat. Now how many posts have you seen......"What’s the biggest cam I can get????" I guess it makes sense for Lg to make people wonder and gain a few customers b/c of it. That being said I know they lose a lot of people by not releasing there spec's. I only made up my mind after I herd them, otherwise I prolly might of gone w/ the ms4 of the Trex but I like good drivability and power under the curve.
