Default how far do the pistons come over the deck on a ls1/ls6 block?

Im still waiting on my block and stuff so I can get my short block together and spec out my piston to deck height so I can order my heads. The shop is apperently running rediculously behind because Ive been waiting a month now for my block to get machined and I was wondering if with a stock crank, callies compstar rods and diamond -8.6 dish pistons if anyone knows how far they will come out of the hole so I can get a head start on ordering my heads to get my desired compression. also does anyone know the compressed thickness of a stock gm mls gasket? thanks!!!

stock
MLS gasket .052". I measured mine sitting on my bench at home.

did you crack the pistons running 11 psi boost? did you go lean? or not know why it happened? Obviously Im sure you know 11 psi is really pusing the stock parts, just wondering if you know what did it. what kind of SCR are you shooting for? 16psi is alot of boost, but Im sure your new setup will be up to the task if you can actually crank that psi. what kind of drive belt you goin to use? 8rib?

I am not sure about your setup, but stock pistons come out of the hole between .005 and .007, depending on who's engine you check. Mine is 7.

I cracked 2 pistons and the block was very suspect, broke the top ringlands off. Im shooting for around 9.5/1. Im going to run the stock 8 rib 7.65 crank pulley with a reichard racing ultra grip 3.3in. pulley
