Lifter noise

Lifter noise Not exactly LS1... My 2000 Chevy with 6.0L is starting to get some lifter noise at initial cold startup. Does this motor have a roller cam or Hydrolic? Can I adjust the lifters? I've never been into the internals of these motors...
Also, Since I'm on this subjet. My Dads 1998 Chevy 454 also has lifter noise. It's worse at initial startup, but has some all the time at idle.

Anyone? I see all the posts for the LS1 lifter noise and piston slap. These aren't piston slap. Definetly lifter noise... I don't see much posted on the TRUCK engines... ANYONE have recommendations?
