Question I want to know if I can hit 12`s ???

I have a 1999 Trans Am. I just bought some gears. The gear ratio is 3.90. My engine has everything forged. It also has a camshaft. The camshaft is the R1 at MTI.com. Before I bought the gears i was running a 13.2. Oh yea I frogot got a stage 3 McLoad Clutch. I wish someone can help me !!!!

What the hell? mti.com has nothing to do with cars(i just checked it out), but i think your talking about the R1 cam from Motorsport Technologies. and what CI is your "forged motor". you forged everything just to run a cam? that cam is around the same size as mine. you should definetly be running better then a 13.2. what did you launch at? is the car tuned correctly? what tires were you running? what kind of 60's did you pull? do you have any other mods like headers, ported TB, cat-back, etc? give specific details on the "forged motor".

we need more info and a complete mod list to help you out. if a cam and clutch is all you have right now, gears are the last thing you need...

I think you need to practice driving and get time tire on the car it should hit 12's before the gear. Just get some honest seat time in.

what are mach headers?? and how much nitrous? if you were spraying a completely STOCK car, you should still be able to break 12's. and what is a header lick? i honestly have no clue what your talking about. but if you have a cam, headers, and nitrous and cant get 12's, either your car is fucked up-or you just suck at driving(no offense).

Yeah....You should probably have run 13.2 stock or close to it. I would say work on your driving and your shifting.

I usually lunch at about noon.

As for your mods, sounds like to me and everyone else you have plenty of power. You need the knowlege and driver mod, then youll be in a much better position.

I rolled my SS of the floor and ran 12.7's with some Bogart fats and skinnies. I hope your knowledge of cars/motors/driving isn't as bad as your typing. If it is, we've found the problem.

if you dont hit 12's u got problems. if you cant hit 12's and you can actually drive after the cam swap you may want to get it retuned tuning ive learned is a bigger factor than what most people think
