Those are TSPs new premium springs..I do not know about their life expectancy..TSP used sell what they called their dual platinum springs..(.650 lift) I have a set of those with 40,000+ miles on them running one of TSPs torquer cams and they are still going strong...I Bounced off the rev limiter the other day (6900) with cold tires on these cold roads it is EZ to break them loose....and they are still working fine..

When I leave for the day in the moring I always let the engine warm up for about 5 minutes before I hit the road. Been doing it my whole life and have had great longevity out of all of my engines and no oil consumption problems either. I have 129000 miles on the one I am driving now and it runs like a champ and it get driven like a hot rod is supposed to. I believe in getting the motor warm before getting on it. Nothing scientific but it has been working for me for over 40 years ..

You can't hurt it by letting it warm up first .. .. Where do you live in the St Louis area? I went to high school at McCluer High School ...but that was long long ago in a galaxy far far away..Im a old dude now.. but I feel like a 12 year old with a driver's license..

I pull a spring or two every 15-20K miles and test seat and open pressure at the correct installed height and go from there. You'll gain nothing by warming your engine up for 5 mins at idle, just start and go but keep the rpms below 2000 rpms for 5-10 mins. You also want at least 175* oil temps before taking your engine WOT.

I heard somewhere it's better to let your motor finish warming up under slight load. So I wait a minute or two, then idle around the neighborhood in 1st gear until up to oil temp.
