Default Where to get good straight edge?

Hey, Just wondering what is a good site to buy a decent straight edge, for heads, thats not to expensive.

Yes. Kinda looking for opinions. I was thinking a 18" would be easier too work with. know any good sites?

Try your local tool shops, automotive parts shop, SNAP-ON, MAC tools, Sears, etc.. Summitracing also carries tools. Ask to see there catalogs for tools.

Ask your local machine shop where he gets his tools from. It shouldn't be that hard to find.. even EBAY would have some tools

If youre cheacking heads for warpage, Its tough to replace a good surface plate. Any good machinest should have a granite or thick plate steel surface plate made by a good name such as starrett, etc. It dosnt take but a minute to feel any rock or wobble, or check with some thin feeler gauges or copper shim strips. I just dont trust a straightedge when youre talking about warping of only a couple thou...
