Default Any body running TSP 257/266 643/622 cam??

Ordering my 408 from TSP this week. Looking at either the texas giant or this bigger cam. Looking for input on either cam whether you like it or hate it. I will have my ls6 heads with a TSP stage 2. Not a daily driver looking for a weekend groudpounder. Stock rearend will be up graded to a 9" with 3.90 or 4.11

One of the guys at TSP said this bigger cam makes 10-15 more hp than the texas giant. I don't know how the curve looks or if it loses a lot down low compared to the other cam.
Go big or go home

I ran this cam in my 408 stroker for a while. The cam makes great power and loves the bottle! My car did 690 RWHP on a 150 pill with an auto and 12-bolt. I will see if I can locate a graph for ya!

How would this cam be in a 364-370 cube engine with L92 heads and an L76 intake?

Jon you must be the guy I talked to. When you talk about the TSP 408 all you hear about for a cam is the texas giant. If the cam makes more power how come you guys don't talk about it more. I know peak power isn't everything but what are the draw backs to this cam especially when compared to the texas giant. Does it give up alot more on the bottom end?

That cam is gonna need a lot of cubes to eat up the loss in low end.

i talked with some people at TSP about that cam also, but decided to start with the Texas Giant. I figure if it doesn't do what I want, I can always bump up. At least I got my Callies Dragonslayer Hoping I clear well over 500 rwhp
