Default LS2 intake on EARLY LS1

Not debating whether it's worth it or not, but I have an LS2 intake (ported the flashing) and TB setup. What is needed to put it on an early (97) LS1. Do I need an LS6 valley cover....what about the TB?? Rewire the harness, or will the larger TB work as-is???

Any How-to's floating around on this??

Thanks!

The stock LS1 fuel rail will not fit on it and you need to either buy the 01+ collant crossover pipes and plugs or grind down the ridges on the belly of the manifold. I would just grind the ridges and save the 50$, thats what i did on my LS6.

I have the LS2 injectors also, and if they have the same plugs, I can easily program the PCM for the LS2 injectors....I should have mentioned this first.

Does anyone make the TB and MAP adapters, or can I just re-wire myself??

Thanks for the quick replies so far

Just sell the LS2 and get an LS6, they flow better anyway.

is the MAP wiring different, or just needs to be lengthened??? Found harnesses for the TB and MAF, and grinding the bottom isn't a problem.

THanks

the plug on the ls2 injectors may be diff.-i really dont remember. but i know the fuel rail is. and they are diff lengths as well. the map should just need to be lengthend. honestly its a lot of work so unless its been heavily massaged ud be better off with an ls6.

appreciate all of the opinions...may get an LS6 setup... I just have an LS2 intake here, now, and free, but maybe I should put them on ebay.

Thanks!

**btw, it is still hard to believe this setup (LS2 intake and BIG TB) don't flow better than the LS6. The comparison I read said the LS6 setup even flows better than the FAST intake and TB, so I'm reluctant to totally believe it. Like I said above, I did port the flashing clean on the intake, which supposedly helps.
