Default engine work in tampa

Anybody know of a good shop in the tampa area? I'm hearing a rattle in the engine. Changed the oil today and found rollers out of a bearing. They were about 3/8th of an inch long and about 1/16th diameter. Nt sure where they came from, but it can't be good.

I was thinking of a head and cam package anyway. Any idea what the price would be to rebuild the engine with a new head/cam package? Its either that, or by a crate engine.

Default Same Thing!!!!

I saw a few guys on here with the same problem and it turned out to be the roller bearings out of the rocker arms. When they go, they drop their rollers into the pan. If this is the case ya just gotta replace the rocker arm. Hope this helps.

Yep, you've got at least one broken rocker.

Replace with YT ultralites and you're good to go. or use this as an excuse to go with the H/C you like.

Best of success with the repair.

I know of a machine shop (Eisele's) that's near Falkenburg and Broadway, and an LS1 specialist shop (don't know what all they do) that's just off Parsons and MLK.

Thats a rocker arm bearing. Doesnt mean you need a full rebuild. If your short on cash... buy new rockers... or buy a H/C set up and replace the rockers as well.
