Default Hi pro machine shop in IA, IL, ????

Hey, new here, and already need some help.

I need to find a reputable machine shop with LS engine experience and deck plates, any advise?????

I haven't found much locally. One shop has deck plates, but the guy doesn't seem really interested. I thought it would help if I bought some of the parts through him, but he can't seem to get me any pricing either. I am not sure he has even done very many LS engines. Recommendations??

Thanks for your help

AXP

Call, Speed Inc and see who they use. There is also a place in Mokena IL but I can't remember the name.

Great! I am just starting an LS2 build (as soon as my parts get off back order) and looking to use the eagle crank and rods with the 2000 bolts and the JE .005 over pistons. Anyone have any luck with any of these places and beefing up the bottom end? I'll think be in the arena of 550-600 +200 n20 and wondering if a girdle (not sure if it really works), or somthing else is a better way to go. Any sugestions?

Thanks!
