Default got a cam question!

Bout to order a Thunder Racing 224/224 112 cam for my bonestock camaro SS, What else am I going to need? Some local speed shop quoted 2700 bucks for a cam, install, and tuning, I wouldnt even pay 2700 bucks for a kidney if I needed it. So...if anyone can tell me whatelse I will need, that would be great!!!

I just went through your same thing. I would say bare minimum would be the complete Thunder Racing cam package for 699. The Titanium Retainers and a beefier timing chain are also recommended though.

I ended up going a step (well, maybe a few steps)further and got a rollmaster double roller timing set, 160 degree thermostat, new plugs and wires, ported oil pump, MAF ends, MAF translator and an underdrive pulley, etc, etc.
