Default Head porters: What flow #'s should I look for to match w/ my cam?

I'm in the market for heads, and would consider a set of used ones if it's a great deal. What flow #'s should I look for to see if they will work good with my cam? I don't want to just buy a set and hope for the best. 226/226 .570/.570 114

Default Re: Head porters: What flow #'s should I look for to match w/ my cam?

The heads i have been pumping out, with stock valves and valvejob flow 276cfm on the intake and 200 on the exhaust at 28". These arent the biggest flow #'s but this is with minimal oversize of ports, intake measures 210cc when finished.Having 300cfm with lazy, large ports will not accellerate well in a street strip car.
hope this info helps. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Camaro]" title="" src="graemlins/camaro.gif" />
