Cleaning out a big cam?
I was just wondering how important it is to clean out a “big” cam? I herd its not to good to let it idle for a good amount of time and then just “putt” round. But I just got 4:10’s put in and I only have a street tune and not my WOT dyno tune yet so I really don’t wanna floor it yet. So anybody else just crawl around w/ ur bigger cam and not really get on it at all? Thanks in advance for the input guys.

Well I was just told its not good to let everything go with out given it some gas to clean everything out. I was just trying to see what all you ppl w/ bigger cams do b/c of all the overlap.

There's quite a few that daily drive cams with 23x/23x duration and more than .59x lift (me being one of them when the weather's decent). The only thing your burning off by "cleaning out" the engine is the gas used to bring the RPMs up.
