what are your goals for this car? the combo will produce some nice power with the proper supporting mods. i had the g5x1 cam,and the x2,x3,andx4. the x1 will give you a nice mid and topend power and drive great around town. if i were you,id look into the x2. it will drive just as nice, but have more grunt when you mash the gas. good luck to ya.

My goals are to get about 450rwhp its not a DD so I can do this over a period of time. Ive already figured im gonna spend over $3000.00 with New Roller rockers, lifters, Ported and Polished LS6 heads, Springs, Valves, Rods, LS6 Oil pump, gaskets, etc and of course the CAM. What do you think i should do any sites with complete kits??? Does the G5X2 sound the same as the G5X1 because ive heard the X1 and i like the sound alot. Is the X2 similar I also need this to pass emissions not the Sniffer but OBD and OBDII. Thanks I appreciate this alot.

G5X1 is 228/232, probably too much cam to pass emissions (too much overlap)
G2 is 224/224 on 114, generally accepted that it passes. That, the TR224 and the TSP 224R should all be ok on a 114. Proper milling of the heads, pullies, and tuning should get you close to your goal (depending on the heads chosen).
