They have a good reputation on the board. Customer services seems 2nd to none. I would get the 243 castings instead of the LS6 style. The price difference is nominal if anything at all.

59cc would make really high compression unless you have valve reliefs cut into your pistons.

Are you looking at used heads?

no, i can get them with a cam in a real good price, the cam is 232/230 .580"/.580" 110 LSA, the heads have 2.02"/1.57 valves, and there comes a roller rockers package with it, all this for 1899, but i am not shure that the seller is a sponsor so i i didn't want to put a link,

i was planning to use this with a FAST90/90 combo (billet TB) LT's and non cat Y pipe, LM1 and a 4.10diff, and some good tune and rail/injectors/255 pump,

i was thinkin a about how many hp's i could expect, and if this isn't a good package in my 98 m6 car,

because well yes i do live in a little island in the middle of nowhere and when i buy it its no tuning back.

thanks for the answer, hope to get more

Call or PM patriot performance. I would be concerned about Piston/Valve clearance.

i have the exact heads, and love 'em. no issues to date (maybe 300 miles on them so far). I have a Comp224 currently and just took ownership of a TSP 231/237 .598/.595 @112+2 to install. saving for the 90/90 combo as well for a little more power. great heads for me so far. check out my sig. I gained 36rwhp/22rwtq with these heads respectively with just that little 224 (cam was installed prior to heads)...

i believe you will like that H/C package. definately call Gunnar at Patriot to make sure no flycutting of the pistons is needed, but i think you should b fine. double check with the people who know for sure...

click on the top link in my sig. that will give you an idea of what a H/C, Lt's/ORY and Louodmouth Catback will sound like. it's freakin loud, but that's exactly what i wanted. i have everything you care to do to your car cept for the 4.10's, and my car only has 38k on the clock...

i would say maybe more towards the 410-420 range. do you have any current numbers of what your car dynos? mine dyno'd at 325/330 at the rear after i installed the SLP Lid, and Loudmouth catback. so heads, headers/ory and cam have made the 80+rwhp/55+rwtq difference in gains.

i have the stock bottom end and everything was there for the heads. i bought the cam package separately. the cam package had the following included: Comp224 cam, Patriot Dual Gold Springs, Titanium Retainers, bases, Comp PolyChrome 7.4" pushrods, Ls6 Oil Pump, Ls2 Heavy Duty Timing Chain.

The heads came assembled from Patriot and had heads gaskets included along with the head bolts.

Here is Gunnar's e-mail: Gunnar@Patriot-Performance.com

thanks for the compliment! make no mistake about it, your car will be loud...

They are cheap, adn you get what you pay for, not uncommon to see heads and mile cam from Patriot heads bearly crack 400 rwhp. We are talkin 02, 6speed/10 bolt. BUt again they dont cost much. I would not get them.

Sorry fo the delay in answering, we have been very busy. We have many customers that have used this set up and none have had PTV issues. This particular cam is no longer being offered. We still have our 226/226 cam and in about 4 weeks we will be releasing a new cam design.

Our heads are by no means cheap.... Ferrea 6000 series valves, Patriot Gold spring (the best LS1 spring made), ti retainers, Super 7 machined locks, bronze guides, etc. An incredible value...yes Cheap? No way.

yes for the most part the saying "you get what you pay for" is true

however in this example with heads, when you are using the same casting for ls1 and ls6 heads, yes it will save money.

The only overhead in cost is the head components which patriot does use good ones, and the heads itself. Which just like the components, when purchased in larger bulk the price drops. Also the porting and assembly is invovled in overhead cost too.

So the best bang for you buck is definifetly patriot heads and possibly L92 (if I remember the name right) if gm performance parts starts making them for ls1 cars.

AFR and ET heads are great but they use their own design and casting which definitely costs more!

Gunnar, quick question...

I recently bought a TSP 231/237 .598/.595 @112+2 cam and wanted to know if it will go in without the need to flycut the pistons. i have the Ls6 style Stage II heads with the 59cc chambers, 2.02:, 1.57" assembled heads from you guys, and installed them using the gaskets you supplied me. Will this work? I have the stock bottom end, stock pistons, etc. Looking forward to getting this cam in with these heads. TIA.

ALWAYS check PTV clearance. We have had many customers use this cam and ones like it with no PTV clearance issues.
