cam for 5.3l

cam for 5.3l im looking for some advice about installing a cam in a 5.3l. i heard about useing a ls6 hot cam i think the one in the z06. but i dont know what year to use so hopeing to get some help on that. also i would be upgradeing the valve springs to the yellow ones so far i have a ls1 intake thanks for any help

This is the swap I plan on doing myself. As far as I think the Hot Cam package will work just fine with little if any modification. I'm going to bore out the block to use LS1 pistons and find an LS1 intake for a few more ponies. I plan on going with a Lunati cam, but that's just because I want a little more lope and a little more HP and I think bigger cam'd LSX engines sound great.
