Default Valve Springs: Single or Dual?

I am changing cams in my 2001 z28. I plan to use a GM Hotcam. I am considering which valve springs to use. Do dual valve springs offer advantages?
I am especially concerned with the knock sensors.

I personally like the beehive spring design as it is light and the retainers are light. They also have less intense harmonics, but in reality you can go either way.

^bud, CompCams 918 springs would probably be a good idea for you.

with the hotcam just use LS6 springs (blue or yellow), thats what i used when i ran the hotcam

Typically from what I've seen, dual springs are not needed until you get right at .600 lift. However, I'm sure there are exceptions to the rules.

I would say singles would be fine (Comp 918s maybe), however it wouldn't hurt to check with one of the sponsors on the right to make sure.

Better safe than sorry.

Good luck.
