Default Do I need a special thread chaser for the lq9..

I need to clean out the head bolt holes.I know with ls1 you use the ARP thread chaser 11mmx2.00

It is the same thing. Although depending on the year of the Gen3, it could have different lengths head bolts or all the same size.

The bolt holes are the same diameter/pitch. Just make sure it is the ARP tool you are using because a standard cutter will take the "roll" off the threads and weaken them.

Thanks guys..This is my first so wanted to make sure.

I was told for the lq9 that I have to use the shorter ls2 bolts.
