spun bearing - machine work necessary? want forged pistons!
i spun a bearing a while back and would like to see if i will need to have machine work done to the motor if rebuilding with a forged piston? what are my options? I'd love to just buy a set of drop in forged pistons if anyone makes any.

Your crank will have to be turned and at a minimum, polished. Depends on how fast you caught the spun bearing.
Most forged pistons are 3.905, although there are 3.898 (stock) sizes out there. If the motor is fairly low miles, you could get away with running a bottle brush down the bores and keeping it 3.898. But it's probably better to get it honed to 3.905.
In short, yes you will need some, at least minimal, machine work.
