Default c-5 pick up tube in a f-body pan

Ok so I bought a motor from a c-5 and didnt think about changing the pick up tube. Long story short, motor is in the car and I have not started it yet im just wondering if the shorter c-5 pick up tube will work with the f-body pan or do I need to pull the motor out again?
Thanks

Don't chance it. Change it out. The issue is the pickup location and height from the bottom of the pan... if it's too high, sudden g-forces will uncover the pickup and cause the pump to suck air...

there is a different part# for a camaro. go to crate engine depot .com and they have a pic of a ls6 kit for a camaro that has a oil pan kit and a dipstik and pick up.
