My low oil light just came on today. I checked the oil and it was low. I had changed the oil about two weeks ago with castrol sythetic 10-40. I checked under the car and there is no wet spots anywhere. So I put a quart of oil in the car and then light went off where did my oil go. I also went to the track yesterday and ran 4 passes could that have anything to do with my oil disapearing. i have a 99 z28 A4 with 18,000 miles on it. Please help

that happenes to me too but after like a month and a half of driving...it burns about 1 qt of oil and have to add when the light comes on

you might not have put the full amount in and once it burnt off a little the light came on. just check the oil dipstick every week for a month and see what happens. then go from there. but ya the LS1 engine is notorious for burning oil
