Default I was racing and something wierd happened...

I was racing and I couldnt even get outta second, i had to shut it down cause each time I would rev it up through the gears At high RPMs it would sound like my rear end broke but it didnt....and my guages would shut off and then reset themselves while the car is still running, no leaks, good oil pressure...car drove perfect no problems or anything.

What happened??

A friend of mine told me a ground on the head is prob not hooked up or loose.

Bad ground is a very probable cause.

Yeah I agree, it sounds as if you are losing power or ground with all the shifting around in the motor bay while driving hard. The sound was probably because you cut off all motor controls at close to WOT and then reconnected while still in WOT and it shocked the system...so to speak.
those are my thoughts...

i would check the battery cable... and make sure the mount is secure. a friend of mine's car would do the gauges thing when he got on it becasue the battery was grounding out on the ac dryer...

interesting...my battery mount is M.I.A.

So....def. grounding problem?

The motor mount theory sounds a lil too extreme to happen, doubt it was that.

The battery moving around is NOT good, it can cause bad connections, loose connections and or short your battery somewhere; like the A/C line running right next to it.
Secure it and go from there!
