What is possible for a street driven H/C/I car?
Lets say I had a 02 Z28 and wanted to drive it 90% on the street 10% track.
What kind of power and 1/4 mile performance could I acheive?
|My friend has a notchback mustang that runs 11.9@116.5 at 2900 lbs on pump fuel. I know I could duplicate that or better with improvements in technology.
The LS1 should be able to best that I would think.
What are the real world numbers?

I have a DD heads and cam car. I've got some more tuning that has to be done, but it really isn't bad at all. Then again i've got a mild 228/232 cam. My car still has more left in her. The number below, was a pull to only 6000, though a stock TA catback. I"m going to add a FAST 90, open the cutout, and pull to 6800 like i should have. It drives great and pulls hard. It really depends on how much your willing to deal with. There are so many different combo's out there.

You could have a 10 sec daily driver if you wanted. Check out this:

Well my numbers are below, 421/390. And as i said, i still have a few things to work out, so i don't doubt another 15HP or more is possible. No time slips yet, but soon. High 11's maybe?? I'm getting used to the clutch. I haven't run any Terminators yet, but i did easily kill a C6 vette. I wasn't shooting for 500whp, so i didn't buy AFR, TEA etc. My heads are the Stage 1 PRC w/valve job. dual springs and a 228/232 110+1 cam. It's got great street manors, it's calm below 3500, but after she pulls and hard. I did all the work myself, so i saved myself a ton of cash. I think i spent around 3K, but that includes my LT headers and LS6 intake. Terminator's make great power too. I've heard it's easy to see 450 @ the wheels. Couldn't tell ya more if i wanted as i'm no blue oval expert. Maybe someone else will chime in.

You could have a 10 second car if you wanted, but easily an 11 second car with h/c. My car puts down 450whp and easily beats my friends 490whp Terminator Cobra. The Terminators are heavier than LS1 cars so it takes more power to make them go as fast.
