help with motor
i just want to say that im new to this, but i just took my car a part because the piston rings went bad on the motor. since that happen i think im going to go with a little better motor. i was thinking to get like a forged 347 shortblock and use my stock heads for the moment and upgrade the cam and valvetrain and spray like a 150 shot of Nitrous.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a good place were i could a shortblock for a pretty good price, and any ideas or suggestions that would help me. THANKS.

It works fine with your stock heads. Pretty much any LS1/LS6 shortblock will be just fine with your stock heads.
What you are looking for is a new block with stock crankshaft, forged pistons with rings, forged rods, ARP or katech rod bolts, and a decent set of bearings.
