Exclamation Final cam decision, please vote!

Ok folks I got it narrowed down to 2 cams. I've filtered out all the others and only intrested in these 2. Tell me what one you would go with and WHY!!

TSP 228R
228/228 .588/.588 112lsa

OR

TSP Torquer v.2
232/234 .595/.595 112lsa

This car will more than likely get a set of ported LS6 heads with all the goodies and I WILL NOT go over a 3200 stall! Driveability is a huge factor, I can't have it not finding an idle and giving me constant problems. Bryan @ pcmforless will be doing the tune since theres literally no one for at least 2 hours around me that can dyno tune. I will also be passing NC emissions which is the pcm check

***Does anyone think the torquer 2 will be to big for a DD on a 3200 stall and mail-order tune? seriously folks put some input in 8 votes and no info

i said the torquer2 because i know people run a lot bigger cams in their dd's, its shown damn good results, and you're gonna have a 3200 stall so i think you'll be fine....

as far as drivability though, the tune can make or break you about as much as a stall can

6300!?!?! these motors love to be spun high man, you just gotta do the supporting mods when you do the cam. my cam's duration is SMALL compared to the torquer 2 and its still pulling when i shift at 6600

well the peak hp is 6300, i normally shift where the stock redline is, but if i want to i could go to 7k's, thats where the tuner put the limiter

just spend a little more money and add pushrods and ls7 lifters to your list....its worth it man. u can pick up a set of pushrods for a little over $100 and i got my ls7 lifters for $110 (shipped)

you ARE gonna do dual valvesprings right!?!?! and oil pump, timing chain, ti retainers, etc...

oh yea man im getting the heads/cam package from TSP. i think ill jsut do the beehive springs tho since the torquers lift isnt (in my eyes) enough to make me need the dual springs. im even getting some 1.7 RR's

exactly. thats what i've done: ls7 lifter, pushrod, oil pump timign chain etc. Extra security, i sure as hell don't want to do it again.

I can get ls7 lifters cheap that aint a problem and i suppose i could upgrade the springs if yall see a need for them. if the peak is at 6300 though why keep it spinning?
