What is the quietest, tightest and most efficient LS1 heads/cam/stall combination?
I have a 2002 LS1 Z28 with the A4 and all of the basic bolt-ons less a brand-new SLP dual dual catback and Kooks 1 3/4" lontubes with high flow cats--both are waiting to be installed. This car will always be a daily driver and will see the dragstrip around three times a year.
I want a quiet cam with a lot of low-end torque matched with the highest flowing ported heads. I also want the tightest and most efficient 4L60E torque converter that will match the power range of this heads and cam combination. Basically, I want the car to drive like a factory-stalled, external bolt-on car, but with enough rear wheel horsepower to get me consistent low 11's in hot and humid weather. I also don't want to sacrifice too much fuel economy. Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

Thanks for the suggestion on the CheaTR cam. I just read TR's description of it and it does sound exactly like the cam that I would want. Their package added nearly 60 horsepower to a car that had a factory exhaust so I can only imagine what the gains would be if it was installed on a car that had a full aftermarket exhaust with the FAST 90mm intake and Nick Williams throttle body.

Actually, the CheaTR cam, while excellent, excels with stock exhaust manifolds. I have come up with a custom version that has the same overlap as the CheaTR, but is more appropriate for use with headers and will make more power under the curve:
218/224 .605/.600 114LSA +2
It's still a custom cam at this point, but it rocks with headers. The Vette guys love it!

If you are going to use headers and a high flow cat-back I would not recommend the CheeTr. It is designed for stock manifolds. Look at the MTI Stealths or the TS Old Man cam (very poor marketing name for the cam!)

The MTI stealth II likes high compression, I've used that one in 3 different setup configuration. But knowing what I know now, one can improve on it.

Thanks..

I am currently running the Stealth II with a stock converter. I love it. I wanted more power, so AFR 205's are being installed right now. Im getting ready to order a vigi 3200. BTW, I dynoed 380rwhp and 365 rwtq with the stealth II and full bolt ons.
