How hard is it to Install the motor from the top???
I know it is said that it is much easier to install the motor from the bottom, but im just wondering how hard it actually is to install the motor from the top. I took the motor out from the top with a engine hoist and using chains wrapped around the head bolts (heads were off). If i decide to put the motor back in from the top, im thinking that these chains will scrap real hard and damage the body(above the firewall) since our motors sit back a ways.

I really like that plate and for 54$ its a good deal. I like doing it out the bottom but next time i may go out the top just to try that plate out.

I installed a couple from the top. Used a chain bolted diagonal from front of one head to back of the other. Was a tight fit with the trans connected and tubular Kmember. If you have stock Kmember and can unbolt the engine mount pedestal from the kmember it goes in easy.
I agree on the crank pulley. It is much easier to get in if you leave it off.
