Default Ported Oil Pump + Double Roller Install?

I know there's a thread somewhere on the forums regarding the ported oil pump and double roller timing chain install mods. If anyone can find it for me or get me a link that would be great.

Thanks!

Well the above thread shows how to do the oil pump install with a single timing chain. I have a double roller and I know there is some kind of modification that has to be done in order to get everything to fit together. Let me know if anyone has any information on this.

Thanks again

It is the same except you have to use the gears supplied and the shims before pump install to clear pump.

Awesome thanks! And what about the thicker O ring? Is that a requirement or can I just use the O-ring that comes off my stock oil pump. I mean I'd replace the O-ring anways but is the thicker one specific to the ported oil pumps?

The new ring is only a couple bux for insurance sakes.. The way I see it.. It's like replacing rod bolts while the engine is apart... You're in there..

If you find you have a ticking problem due to oil system aeration, would you want to rip the pump out again?

The new ring isn't much thicker, you'd have to compare them at it to see. But it made a difference on -=Mod=-'s car.
