Default Toying with engine combo...

Ok guys...new guy here to the scene, and I've been toying around with some ideas for my 98 t/a and would like someone to double check my work.
heres what i came up with so far.

based on a tsp 408 short block with afr mongoose 225/62 heads

stroke 4.00
bore 4.030
head gasket bore diameter (unsure on this one so i went with the bore) 4.030
compressed head gasket thickness .040
combustion chamber 62
-2 cc flat top piston

would put me at 12.6:1 CR???

i was sort of thrown off after reading about valve drop reduction, but i didnt think it would matter due to the intake valve only opening on the intake stroke and not on the combustion stroke.

i am also quite unsure of where to go from here...i think i am looking at a custom ground cam matched to the engine, but i still need to talk to a cam guy on that. still learning here...

i also don't know if the valve and piston make contact, and the piston is cut for reliefs, will this lower the compression ratio?

and as all this is calculated is that assuming maximized volumetric efficiency and the perfect atmospheric pressure?

i hope theyre not some stupid questions...ive been trying to do as much research as i can before i started asking questions but i dont know where to go from here.
