What is a good price on a set of stock ls6 heads or what do they usually go for? There is a guy local to me trying to sell parts off his car and he has a set of unported LS6 heads with comp valvetrain. The price he gave me was for the heads and a BMR torque arm so im not exactly sure what he wants for just the heads.

I just sold a set of LS6 heads with less than 2k miles on them. They were cleaned up (bowls/Comp valve job) by a local head shop (Lorenzo's Fast Flow). I had Comp 918's with Ti retainers.

I sold them in a package deal, but I was asking $600 for the heads alone.

Patriot Performance sells bare 243 castings for around 375 or so brand new. Might want to give them a call. That's where I'm getting my castings from when I do my TEA LS6 stg 2.0 heads.

We can do you a set of Brand nem GM 243 castings bare for $395.00 per pair. If you wanted new oem non-sodium valves, there would be an additional $25.00 charge.

Thanks for the replies guys,

So i could basically get a brand new set of unported LS6 heads assembled for about the same price as the guy that is local to me who is selling them used? He claims he spent $1000 for them, I doubt whatever he sells them for would be that great of a deal comparing them to your new 243 castings. I would only buy the heads from him only if they were a really good deal, otherwise i would just buy a nice set of ported heads. Thanks

well he probably spent 1000 2 years ago. Prices on these heads have really came down.
