Whats the biggest cam for Pat. Per. LS6 55cc heads??
That I can use?? They have been milled to 55cc, I DO NOT WANT TO DO FLYCUTTING, will a 228R cam work on stock gaskets? Or will I have to go bigger??

Are they 6.0 "LS6 style", that were 59cc and then were milled like .025?
Or were they true 243 casting LS6 heads (64cc) milled 9cc or .045?
What valves are in there as well?
Either way, 55cc is a bitch for most cams. Can't fit a high duration, need flycut and small durations will run into DCR issues and would need very wide LSA

you do not want to run a gasket thicker than .060
That will have adverse effect on fuel burn efficiency and make the combo more prawn to detonnation.
IMHO, skip those heads unless you are willing to flycut.

BINGO! although they do use slightly larger valves which should be taken into consideration (PTV)

We do weld to get the desired chamber size on our LS6 style heads. But usually we don't do a 55cc chamber. We have talked to someone about these heads and we believe these are a set of 59cc heads that have been milled after they left our shop. If they are less than 3 years old, look for a 4 digit number stamped on the end of the heads (where your accessory bolt holes are) and we can look up the original invoice on these and what they were when they left here.

always clay test first. i have the same heads Ls6 "style" 59cc chambers, 2.02"/1,57" valves. i have a comp224/224 .581/.581 @112lsa in my car currently. soon i will be installing a TSP 231/237 .598/.595@112+2 lsa. i plan to clay test first to see if i need to flycut or not. don't let flycutting deter you from running a setup that you would like...

Can I flycut my self, what do I need, How much and where to get all the stuff? I'd be nive to just throw the heads and cam on w/o flycutting. What about Tsp's 225/225 cam??? No fly/cutting with that???

What about these heads with either (in the order I want/would go) a TSP 225/225 .595/.595 (mabye too much lift) a TR224 .563 OR a GM Hot Cam (last resort) all of these will be on a 112 LSA and the only gas I can get around here is 91 (just a FYI)!! Will ANY of those cams will work W/O flycutting, I am also open to recommendations on other cams that WILL work with these heads.
