Default Spun a bearing, need opinions

I spun a rod bearing. Ive taken the car to 2 places for estimates. One guy is telling me he can rebuild the bottom end with Diamond rods and pistons and another guy is telling me to just upgrade the rod bolts and bearing an keep the stock rods and pistons for about half the price. I dont know how strong these bottom ends are stock so Im not sure which way to go. Im not looking to stroke the car or really make anymore power so my question is will the stock rods and pistons hold up with stronger bearings or is it likely to just break a rod at some point and I should upgrade now? What doe everyone think?

if you aren't spraying or going FI, just do the rebuild with better bolts and bearings and new rings. Make sure you do a good oil pump while you're in there.. you shouldn't spin anymore bearings forged vs stock given the same bolts and bearings. but you can always add more power to a forged motor later.
