arp head bolts vs. gm head bolts?

They are only better if you plan on pulling your heads more than once as they are reuseable and GM ones are not. If you intend to do this as a one-shot deal, save your $$$ and get the GM ones.

WRONG!
When I did my first H/C swap I tried using GM bolts and while doing the torque sequence second pass one of the head bolts broke. Feel free to take your chances but I will never use the factory bolts again. Bought ARP bolts and gonna switch to studs on my new project.

Go with ARP studs...that's what I used...
Work great and they're reuseable...
Plus, to me, it's much easier to tighten the nut on the end of the stud, rather than worry about tightening that long TTY bolt...

Just don't use the stock bolts...you'll thank us. ARP bolts/studs are reuseable. The torquing procedure for the stock bolts is a pain in the ***. I found the arp bolts MUCH easier to get in and out b/c of the size of the head. It's slightly smaller so it gives u that tiney bit extra clearance to get them in and out much easier.

It is not rocket science to put bolts in you do turns of bolts in sequence. I am not the only one to break a bolt. And yes you are wrong, the GM bolts are not as good, just because that are "good enough" to get by does not make them as good as ARP. If that were true then there would be no market for the ARP's.
