Default Mid 11's Head/Cam combo

Thinking I might go ahead and dump in a heads/cam. Have a few extra bucks lying around and debating between a new motorcycle or putting it into the car. I would like to keep the price tag under $3,000. Is it possible to hit 11s without spray at this price? If so... recomendations? Would prefer to get something from Speed Inc since they are local and have done all my business through them already, but mail order isn't out of the question.... Thanks!

Current mods are as follows...

SPEC stage 4 clutch
Upgraded Hyrdaulics on trans
Hurst shifter w/Speed Inc Short shifter
Moser 12 bolt w/4.10s 33 spline
Spohn floorpan mounted torque arm
BMR lower control arms
Hooker coated long tube headers
Hooker cat back w/electric cutout

since you have a t56 car, heads/and 230ish cam will net high 11s. If you were A4 it would net mid 11s

how about:

1. get in car
2. Drive to Speed Inc.
3. Hand them $3000
4. explain what you want

really, since you want to go through them anyway that's probably your best bet. A decent heads/cam/intake setup on slicks should turn a mid 11 all day. You already have the suspension and rear end for it.

I've run a best of 11.73 on street tires, cam-only (232/234 XE-R) and I'll be bolting some heads on in a week or so, aiming for low 11s on E/T streets, NA. I'd think that a well matched H/C package with your drivetrain already solid should easily net mid 11s. I say go big and shoot for 10s!

Thanks for all the replies. They suggested the SI5 cam. Just debating on what I want to do now I suppose

Anyone running a Speed Inc cam? Now actually thinking about going with a cam only swap. Just wondering how their SI5-SI7 cams would compare to a MS4 or TREX and how badly I would be holding it back without heads.

Also, do NOT want to have to flycut....

I went 12.1 at 117 with 1.9 60 ft with stock 241 heads and the fm 13. For what its worth. I would say with heads 11s is easy for the fact i didnt 60-ft.
