gear drives

anybody ever use Pete Jackson gear drive timing sets on an LS1 ??
got one for free says for small block chevy.

Negative. Gears would cause too much knock. I'm not even sure they would fit an LS1.

X2... they won't fit, and your knock sensors would go spastic with false knock.

I loved the way they sounded in the old camaro and chevelles. Just a wild sound.
