Default Need help choosing a motor!

Hi guys,
I wanted to buy a motor last year and already asked for advice but a lot of problems happened to me: accident, stolen car and so on ...
Now I am ready again.
Basically I am hesitating between a forged 347 and an iron 408.
The car will have a P1SC supercharger kit from A&A (that's what I run now but on my stock motor). I will upgrade to a D1 later on. But I would like to keep the P1 for about 1 year (time to save for a new head unit and other stuff).
The car has ARH Long tubes with HF cats and I will upgrade the fuel system to a return style with a BAP and 60lbs injectors (as I run 42lbs now along with a LPE fuel pump)

I know that this fuel system will be able to support the P1 with no problem. The car is 100% a street car. It won't see the track (maybe once a year). It is an A4 from RPM level 5 with a 2800 TC and a 3.15 rear end.

Which motor would you guys choose? And what kind of power I can expect from the P1 on the given motor? I want tu run pump gas only (don't want to deal with meth). I would love to get 600 RWHP from the P1 on an A4. Am I dreaming?

I hope youguys will be able to help me out. I contacted a forum sponsor already but in the mean time, any input would be greatly appreciated.

I like 347's, but the p1 would be more then enough to get 600 on a 347 or 408. I have seen threads that a p1 will max out on a 408 with ease and you will have to upgrade to a bigger head unit which in your case you will. either way I could see you getting 600 to the wheels either way. I am going with a forged 347 in my new setup so Thats what i would do There not as expensive and there still a really strong foundation for any build.

347 and keep the p1 unless you wanna go all out then 408/d1
the 347/p1 setup when done right will push 600+ with ease
the 408/d1 will go into the high 700's low 800's and require a full fuel system

Thanks guys,
your advice is much appreciated! One more question, do you think that the car will be efficient with the 408? How much boost should it be able to make?

I heard from some people that a P1 ona 408 is stupid as it is too small of a blower whereas Isaw threads of guys running a P1 on a 427 (very rare but it happened on a 427)

I am waiting for 2 quotes from HKE (Erik) and I will decide after that. If the price difference is really important, I willend up with the 347 as it will be able to produce more power than usable on the street. But if the 408 is not toomuch more, then why not

Thanks again guys!
