Old thread, but what is the best way to measure the fly cuts on a piston that's already been done? I bought a block with some fly cut pistons in it already and I just want to double check what their depths are.

well, a graduated cylinder. same as used to check the cc of a piston or chamber. anything else is a guess. why are you wanting to do this? just to see what your static comp. ratio is?

Bought a block with pistons that were already fly cut by another shop. Owner doesn't know the depth and I just want to verify what it is so I can determine if I need to do them deeper or not.

Default piston fly cutter

Hey Irocss85, I know it's an old thread but do you still have the piston fly cutters? If so would you be willing to loan or sell them? Thanks John
