MTI Stealth II vote here. Good power, idles at 750-800, slight-slight-slight lope to it. Perfect for daily driver, which mine is.

Good luck with your cam choice. Call MTI with any questions. Also, PredatorZ has a lot of knowledge regarding that cam.

I have said this before, one more time. A big cam won't kill your gas mileage, its your right foot wanting to press your gas pedal thru the floor board and the addiction to the new power. I have everything you can think of done to my car. Stock got 29-30 mpg on the highway, now that it is a h/c full bolton she gets 34-35 mpg on the highway. So please, please tell me why a cam eats all your gas?? The amount the cam eats depends on the amount your right foot feeds. The more efficient an engine breathes and exhales the better the gas mileage. You will be fine, go big and be happy that you know the power is there anytime you need it.

MTI B1 is a great cam to daily if you're on a budget and can find a good one used.

I had the 228R in my M6 and it was a great daily driver, I would go with something around those lines, and it was on a 112lsa

QUOTED FOR TRUTH!

... or any of the 224/224 cams. It's hard to go wrong with a TR224.

with a less than ideal tune on my car....it runs about 25-26mpg on the highway at 80mph....windows down and usually ttops off. i'm sure if i ran it all buttoned up and have a good part-throttle tune i could easily get 1-3mpg more.

I have to call BS on some of these MPG quotes. I don't know if it's poor math or what. But personally, I've got my tune dialed in really good. It's actually a hair on the lean side at 14.8~15.0:1 and my recent trip back to DE (1300 miles round trip) netted me 24mpg with the cruise set in 6th gear (3.73's) at 75mph. I dropped to 23 in the mountains of PA. But for the most part, it was fairly consistent. This is on a 232/238 .595/.605 112LSA cam and P&P'd 241's. Those who say 30+ mpg I have a hard time believing unless they're driving down the side of Mt. Everest.

Or unless they have lower gears like 2.73 or 3.42's. You have upgraded gears to 3.73 so thats also gonna effect your gas mileage some.

I wouldn't think the 150rpms difference in 6th gear would make too big of a difference.
