Default What is the head chamber size on TSP 5.3l stage 2.5 heads???

In this thread TSP states that they are 63cc:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamometer-results-comparisons/604283-all-new-prc-stage-2-5-5-3l-head-results.html

but when I called them today, they told me they are 62cc, I'm confused now!

If I remember correctly, I thought Jason told me they were around 62cc's. Of course that is with the standard .015 mil that they do on most of them. I believe the 243's were around 63.5 or so. So the 5.3's were only about 1.5 cc smaller than the stg 1 243's as stocked by TSP. Of course you can get them milled to whatever you want.

i'm just trying to find out because if they are 63cc, I'd like to mill them to 61cc but if they are 62cc, it's probalby not worth it for the money

My advice: Do not ask, just get a burette and measure. Or take them to a shop and have them measured.

yeah I think I will do that. I'm gonna call Conley's today to see if they mill heads or if they know a good place since they will be doing the install

IMHO, you shouldnt have to question the specs of a companies product or have them checked yourself.....

The last few sets I checked were 62.5cc That being said they can typically vary about .5cc depending on several different things. I will be more than happy to mill them for you at no extra charge when you order the cylinder heads Just tell the guys what cc you want & I'll make it happen
