Default Cam Suggestions?

Ok, this summer I plan on upgrading the fuel system to 42 lb injectors, and a 270 lph Racetronix pump. What cam/springs/pushrods would you guys reccomend for great under the curve power after a dynotune. My car sees the track twice a year just so I can answer someone when they ask what it runs. It is not a daily driver and only sees 5k miles a year all street. I want it noticeable, and I run a 100 dry shot on top of my mods in sig. Pick me out a good one guys and what hp and tq numbers do you think I will make on and off the bottle? Also will i need to change the oil pump and timing chain too? Thanks.

Emissions...no, Power...as much as possible keeping my stock rear and being able to use it on the street, Goals...having an 11 sec street car to play around with..somewhere around 500 rwhp with my N20 and I would probably be happy...for now

I was looking at the Torquer 3 but would like some more suggestions on it.

then do some searches on it, maybe consider the MS3 MS4 and T-REX, however the 10 bolt is not long for this world even on a stock car... keep in mind you need all supporting mods and a ncie set of heads to hit 500rwhp witha great tuen to reamin streetable

as stated above, good set of heads and cam would get you there with all bolt-ons, I have stage 3 P&P LS6 heads, MS4 cam on 110lsa, and full-bolt-ons with a forged 346, and I am just over 500hp, but that is thru a 12-bolt with 3.73's, before you go out and get heavy into the engine look at a good driveline, 10-bolts are going to break and if you want to make 500hp through your 10-bolt it will just be time before it breaks. The way I look at it is do the drivetrain first so it won't break then do internals and the rest of the car.

he said 500rwhp WITH the n20

so figure something in the 400-425rwhp range would make for a VERY nice street cam.

i'll suggest something like the Torquer or the F13 cam with a set of small runner heads like the AFR 205s, or possibly the TFS 215s

no need to go as big as the MSx or Trex for the power you're talking. you'll enjoy the car more on the street with a moderate cam

I only want 400+ hp with the cam only, but my 500 was referring to my dry shot added. I know the 10 bolts suck, expecially at mid to high hp and sticky tires but only being raced on the street from 30-40 mph rolls I was hoping to get away with the stock rear for a while.

oh yeah my bad, forgot he mentioned N2O, yea then the 228R would be an ideal cam then that would give you great power down low and still get you around 400hp+ whatever shot of juice you are running should be good for your goals.

With only a 100 shot it doesnt really matter what cam you go with as a custom nitrous cam isnt going to make a huge difference. Id say if you want 400+ rwhp cam only then look at the g5x3/ms3/ms4 or maybe even the torquer v2/v3. Add a 100 shot to any of those 5 cams and you will be very close to 500 rwhp on the juice.

Thanks for the info, sorry for the confusion about the spray. I would mostly run n/a just b/c it should be enough to kill most things on the street, the spray would be for those just in case instances if you know what I mean. Also would it be a good idea to go with a new oil pump and timing chain when I do the swap?

since you will have the motor apart anyway I would go with new pump and chain.

When you get the cam done def get a new ported ls6 oil pump, ls2 timing chain, dual valve springs, tit retainers, and hardened pushrods. If you can port your stock throttle body and pick up a 25% underprive pulley as well to maximize your efforts.
