Default Trouble deciding what heads to compliment the Vindacator cam?

I know the TFS are the best but can't afford those heads since I just bought a Moser, so I've been looking for some budget and used heads. I've had 2 in mind. The MTI 2r heads and TEA 5.3L stg 1.5 heads. Both are used and was curious if those would be good set. Anyone elso have a different option?

All are excellent, but the TEA and PRC 5.3L heads have been updated several times the past 2 years and are making some outstanding numbers.

The ones above are excellent, but keep in mind, added static compression will best compliment this camshaft. Getting 11.0:1 or higher is a real plus. A 61cc head with average flow will often make more power than a 66cc head with excellent airflow.

Also, remember that most any high compression head with larger valves is going to require flycutting of your stock pistons to ensure adequate piston to valve clearance with the Vindicator cam.

So a 5.3L head would work great with this cam?

Is this going into a stock CI motor or a stroker?

The Vindicator (240/244 .608/.598 112+4) Loves RPM, You are going to want serious Flow up top.

If it's between those two heads i would say the PRC's, like patric said they have been updated several times.

I'm not sure if MTI ever revised the port design to meet the new style cams. Being you don't hear from them much anymore, Back in the day of "small cams" (when a MS3 was giant) the heads were amazing.

If you can splurge a bit more the TEA AFR 205's or the Trickflow 215' would be best.

I would've been able to buy the TFS but I need a rearend so I went with a Moser 9".

Anyone else would like to give me some advice on which heads to go with.

the question you should be asking is what cam with X heads. Its a lot easier to match a cam w/ heads than heads w/ a cam....

Yeah it is harder to match heads with a cam. But that's why I'm asking for the help.
