I just installed that cam in my C5. I used the XE-R lobe on the exhaust and the cam has a +3 advance.I installed PP Stage II heads along with it.The car idles like stock at 600 rpm and pulls strong all the way to 6500rpm.I have a SS3600 TC and the car pulls strong from any gear. I have the TC locking up at 32 mph and I have no surging/bucking even at 1200/1400 rpm. I am running 11.1 CR and I am sure that helps a lot.No dyno numbers but I did pick up 6 mph in trap speed(113 vs 119).

Advance is the difference between the intake centerline (ICL) and the lobe seperation angle (LSA). When you advance the cam you move the point the intake valve closes.Closing the valve sooner will lower the rpm that peak power occurs at.Most off the self cams have a 4* advance. This is to make sure that the power peaks at a usable rpm.

The recommended cam advance (+2) was based on you running a supercharger in the future. The 113 intake centerline will keep your overlap centered over TDC and allow you to make balanced power down low and up high. Basically, the amount of advance puts the cam timing exactly where the motor needs it.

40-45 additional RWHP over what you're making now. On a manual trans, the gains would be slightly higher.
