Default quick B1 cam question

After installing your B1 cam, did you throw any codes? how was driveabilty? I heard its pretty much a 'throw in and go' cam that requires little (if any) tuning. Im getting it installed in the next week or so, but wont have the money for LS1 edit for another couple weeks.

I understand that an A4 will need tuning, while an M6 most likely will not. Good luck.

i still think you will get misfire codes which will need to be turned off. If anything you may have to drill the TB hole or turn the TB set screw a tad

Well, it depends on what you mean by tuning.
I had the B1 and heads installed and there was absolutely no tuning required to make it idle or run, but it was running pig rich and my stock exhaust manifolds where choking the heck out of it. I felt a difference on the low end between 2000-3000, but not much. I did however feel a large difference in the upper RPMs, but unfortunately had to shift just when it was getting good due to the stock rev limiter. After I had LS1 edit performed and headers added, I picked up 60 RWHP. From the cam and heads alone, I only gained about 25 RWHP, around 345 RWHP.
Hope this help.
