Default head ?

Do LS1'S have bolts running thru water jackets. im getting ready to do heads and cam. Ive read a great wiet up on the install but it doesnt say in the write up if ill need to put anything on the bolts or if they even go thru water jackets.

No, they don't go through the water jackets like the old 23 degree engine. No sealant is necessary, but some choose to use a little moly lube on the threads and under the head of the bolt to ensure accurate torque readings.

No Im going to go out one last ime for the bolt on record. ifi dont get it its cool. I want more power and I want to go faster. so Im going this route instead of a real big cam. Harold did get to me and I got to do the same thing hes doing. lol maybe some day ill learn how to drive this car . Im not going to get the great weather rageman and 01Z get. so I dont think Ill ever catch them.

thank you for the tip. ive heard to take can ait and blow them out and then take rolled up paper towels and stick down in the bolt holes. until its all dry.

Of course ARP has their own Moly lube (teflon)!
Summit and J egs have it.

larry, make sure Bill gets all the water outta the bolt holes.. i dont want my motor splitting in half... HHAHAHAH

now i dont mind yours breakin in half :p hhehehe

Larry, if you get some of that ill chip in cause ill be using the same stuff, since we have the same installer
